Possibly the most well known of all chia’s benefits is the amount of omega oils each serving contains. Approximately 50% of the oil contained in chia seeds is made up of omega-3 oil which includes the essential alpha-linolenic acid, but chia also contains omegas 6 and 9. Chia is also an incredible source of several B vitamins such as thiamine and niacin, but also contains folate and riboflavin in smaller quantities. Chia is also a rich source of dietary minerals including calcium, magnesium, iron and more.
